Morgan Swank September 17, As long as casino games have existed, there have always been those who want to find a way to beat them. Some have sought out guaranteed ways to win without actually breaking the rules, but most approaches are simply one big scam. Some of these fraudsters have gone to great lengths to devise complicated cheats. Incasinos in Ohio were invaded by a New York crime ring involved in a roulette scam.

According to the Ohio Casino Control Commission, the group consisted of roughly people who scoured the country ripping off United States casinos. They secretly pocketed certain colored chips while another player distracted the dealer. The first player then excused himself from the table and secretly passed the chips to another member of the gang.

They were discovered after pulling the scheme in four different Ohio cities. Four men were arrested and pled guilty, but it is speculated that more were involved and had fled before officials arrived. How did they do it? With identity theft and unbelievable persistence.

To pull off the grand scheme, the brothers hired a computer hacker to pull data from credit systems and find people with excellent credit. They continued this scam for five years thanks to offset betting procedures and perfectly timed gambling schedules. That way, they could make the gaming officials believe they were losing money while their associates won big on the other side. They then paid all outstanding markers, and their casino credit lines increased to upward of a million dollars.

It took six additional months for the FBI to figure out that the scam had even taken place. By then it was too late, as they discovered the real Roselli brothers had actually died many years previously.

The true identity of the scammers is still unknown. Not all casino scams take place at the betting tables. Sometimes, all you need is a debit card to steal thousands of dollars from the biggest casinos in the world.

The scam involved exploiting a gap in the kiosk security that allowed multiple unrecorded withdrawals within a second opportunity window. The ringleader, Ara Keshishyan, recruited a team to open multiple checking accounts from Citibank.

The group would then go to casinos all over Southern California and Las Vegas and use their Citibank Live Online Casino Caught Stealing advance kiosks to withdraw up to ten times the amount of money deposited into the accounts using the one-minute security gap.

Once the money was collected at the cages, Ara would take a considerable cut from his co-conspirators, and the rest would be split to gamble among the team. They were comped for rooms, food, drink, and entertainment during their scheming and never had to pay for a single thing.

Ultimately though, all this scheming did not pay off. Ara was arrested and charged with 14 cases of bank fraud. In the summer ofone of the greatest roulette scams took place at the Casino Deauville in France. It involved a Top Usa Best Online Casino Software amateur who was also a casino roulette dealerhis brother-in-law, and his beautiful sister.

The dealer created a radio transmitter which fit perfectly into a pack of cigarettes. He also turned a weightless receiver into a roulette ball which he used at his table.

She always stood one table over to remain inconspicuous to officials on the floor. Casino officials caught wind of what was happening and became suspicious. They investigated every possibility from a defective wheel to the accurate assumption that the dealer was corrupt. They spent weeks with experts but could find nothing out of the ordinary. He made a move on her and was quickly turned down. Shortly thereafter, he began to notice her presence in a different light. He made the connection that she was always in the casino whenever the same person at the same roulette table consistently won large amounts of cash.

He put these clues together, suspected radio interference was to blame, and had a debugging team sweep the floor. Eventually, the team was caught and arrested. They were able to beat the system by accepting the standard offer to cut the deck after the dealer shuffled the cards. What made the scheme foolproof was that the same player had a tiny camera hidden in his cufflink to see the card values.

That player would then excuse himself to give the camera and information to another member of the gang. They would return with winning hands every single time. They were later arrested for cheating in the Philippines, but they escaped shortly after and have been missing ever since. While playing stud poker, the Frenchman would mark symbols on card decks with invisible ink, while the Italian players wore special contact lenses to see the markings.

Suspicion was raised after the group returned with a second substantial winning streak in the same casino. Police were called to investigate, and they were able to find the symbols marked on the cards which included a short line to represent an ace and a cross to represent a king. It took a while longer to figure out how the players were able to see the ink.

After ruling out the possibility of camera Live Online Casino Caught Stealing, they finally noticed each player sported contact lenses nobody had ever seen before.

The players were caught and, despite the cool and sneaky nature of their scheme, faced a long jail sentence. Incredibly, they got to keep the money. The group supposedly used laser scanners in their phones that were connected to a computer that predicted the numbers likely to win big in roulette.

Thus, the group was able to make calculations fast enough to place their bets before the ball made its final rotation. Allegedly, championship poker player Phil Ivey Jr. They then memorize these imperfections and use them to identify the cards correctly in the future. Although it sounds like a fair tactic, edge sorting is frowned upon by most casino officials, especially the way Ivey did it. Some had full diamonds while others were cut in half.

This allowed Ivey to more easily identify the cards and make all the right bets. The Borgata has filed a lawsuit against Ivey over the scheme. He has denied any and all misconduct, but this is the second edge-sorting lawsuit he has been dealt over his career. A man named Phuong Quoc Truong also known as Pai Gow John assembled a team of illegal card counters by traveling the US and convincing dealers to cheat for him. By the time he entered the grand scheme, he had 30 accomplices.

To carry out the scam, the corrupt dealer would give the illusion of shuffling cards. In actuality, he would just put the corners together so the deck would make a shuffling noise while the cards remained in the same order. Meanwhile, the main player would pretend to smoke a cigarette while whispering information about the dealt cards to an outside player via a microphone hidden in his sleeve.

Once given his instructions, the smoker would then place his fingers on his cigarette in a certain way. This was a code to the other players that directed them to make their bets. The Sickwan Gaming Commission discovered Phuong and his accomplices though the security surveillance footage, and they were promptly arrested.

Many pled guilty and are currently serving time in prison. Poor Phuong actually had to give up two of his homes and a Porsche in addition to other luxuries. Although the casino has not officially revealed details about how the scheme was carried out, a Las Vegas casino consultant named Barron Stringfellow has deduced how it was accomplished.

He suspects that the player was wearing an earpiece and playing at the VIP tables, while an accomplice surveyed the surveillance footage from a safe location inside or around the casino.

The accomplice then relayed what bets and plays to throw down for maximum profit. The only extra detail released about the case states that the VIP staff member responsible for looking after the gambler on the night of the heist has been dismissed. It is unknown, however, whether he was involved in the scam or not. The Crown Casino is optimistic about recovering the money, but officials counter that the chances are nigh impossible.

Instead it's just a dirty way to make money. Probably, but it wouldn't be a huge undertaking to fake that too, especially with the deck way off to the right of the frame like that. Or quite simply they gave him cards with scratches on the back that indicate what's on the front. Or the cards can have RFID chips embedded in them connected to a screen behind the camera. Yeah it's just a coincidence that the 8 to give the player a 20 is what got swapped for the 6 that would give the dealer a 16 and put the dealer in prime territory to bust.

The casino probably told him to do this. Why would a single employee care who wins? The casino surely does. Honestly why would anyone ever gamble is beyond me, the chances of the company or person scaming you seems high to me and the only assurance you have is their bloody word. It's fun if you don't expect to win money. If you expect to win, you're very quickly gonna find yourself broke. Winning money is just a chance at an added benefit. But I even pay money for video game tournaments, even when I know I'm probably not gonna win.

It's all about the value to you personally. A lot of European countries have very well regulated gambling industries providing strong player protection. Can't speak for other countries. This is some really shitty stuff going on, but I wish the dude would be more serious on the phone with them instead of fooling around. It would be interesting to hear what they had to say if presented with the proof in a serious tone etc.

I guarantee nothing would have happened either way. I'm glad he was silly about it because at least it was entertaining.

You could be on the phone for 3 hours and still not talk to anyone that has any pull in the company. He did it for views, which is the smart move here. Like was said above, no one from that company was gonna get on the phone right then. Doing it this way gets more people watching which gets it in more people's minds which hurts the company more.

He was getting somewhere. He made it past the initial bullshit and was talking to a supervisor, but as soon as he called him motherfucker he gave all the power to the supervisor. You're not going to get anywhere with the call center anyway. The proof is in this video. The thread is deleted because 'witch-huntning' https: I'd love to see how many front page videos get deleted - I feel like they've got a rule for everything.

How is this witch hunting when we get a new YouTube drama video calling someone out for dmca or some other bullshit, that's what I want to know. I'd be willing to bet a couple redditors started posting private info of the owners or the dealer or something and that was that.

It's kind of funny and sad at the same time that the most we can do to fight bullshit default sub moderators is to make bad pitchfork memes. We can't fire the mods, we can't get them unmodded, but we I first heard about this site when Sodapoppin started playing on it and was receiving free money from them to play on the site.

Right off the bat something seemed off about this place. Soda is sketchy, he claimed he could use the free money to pay rent, but would still always gamble it away, and other streamers has said the money can't be withdrawn.

Obviously it would be worth gambling it away for YouTube and referral revenue, but why lie and say the stakes are real when they're not? They had a deal. He was probably told to tell everyone that the stakes were 'real'. It changes the order of the cards.

I know that that particular dealer think his name is Bryan? He's been there a while - he used to be GoodIdeaGaming's favourite dealer before he got banned from Twitch. Yeah putting money and betting with it at some foreign country that the last time you spoke its name was from a 2nd grade geography lesson isn't the best of ideas. At least in Vegas when their draining your wallet, that shit is regulated up the ass and by the book.

And Vegas doesn't even need to cheat. The odds are in their favor and they do high volume. Normally I'd say it's ridiculous for the house to cheat. They have a mathematical edge. They WILL make money if they just sit there and deal the cards. But greed compels them to make more money. For a brick and mortar regulated place, this would be a death sentence so it's always laughable when someone claims a Vegas casino is cheating.

You'd completely lose player confidence and the regulatory board of whatever state you're in would be all over you. But these online places based in some country where the law doesn't reach and it's not regulated so they'll just reform under another name once the PR shit blows over and carry on.

More reason it needs to be legal and regulated in the US. There's literally no recourse here. Will be interesting to delve through some old VOD's of previous blackjack streams on this website to see if there's more cases of sleight of hand cheating. I'm sure now one case has been highlighted, it's probably been happening under radar for months and months.

RF chips are designed specifically to only be scanned from a very close range. Also, when they are all stacked together like that, there is no current technology that can separate each of the cards and read it. I know you're getting a bunch of upvotes for this, but it's just not technically possible.

Also, there's very, very few NFC enabled cards out on the market. They also have issues with not feeling the same and having a small chip bump. All issues with widespread adoption. There are ways of scanning them despite the stacking. During shuffling, depending on how it's done, for instance. And they would be able to scan the top and bottom cards. The technology exists to mark the sides of each card and scan the entire deck like a barcode, letting you know where each and every card is in the deck even as they are stacked together.

Way easier to just hide some kind of unique pattern in the print on the backs of the cards, too small to resolve on the player-camera, but that lets a house-camera watching the hopper identify the next card. They just know the order of the cards. They're not shuffled in front of the camera.
